| Jean A glorious conference this year. Wanted to share a snapshot of all the goodness I experienced this weekend.
Reserved for the eminent, Mr. Piper, my living hero (the other being the eminent, dead hero, Mr. Lewis).
Piper, joy on His face, worshipping His God. "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory..." (1 Cor 3:18)
Round table gathering of what I call "The Greats." From Left to Right, C.J. Mahaney, John Piper, Rick Holland, John MacArthur, and Steve Lawson. These men collectively preached up to 10 hours last weekend to a group of 3,000 young people who yearn to know God more.
Worshipping God with the mind (meditating on truth), with the heart (joyful exuberance in song and dance and music), with the body (in deeds and loving action).... I thank God for blessing me with truth, passion, love and grace. | | |
| Happy Birthday Jeanamocha!! Hope you have a blessed, fun-filled day Love, Us

| Life of Mocha: Mini Part Deux
I went to Sandy's hair salon for the usual 6-hour sitting to have my hair straightened today. It took me almost that long to get through all of this month's issue of VOGUE MAGAZINE. I was fascinated by a particular article on breast cancer and the recent research findings: the highest incidence of breast cancer in the world are found in the two most affluent areas in America: 1) Marin County, CA 2) Upper NY, where women are very-well educated, exercise-buffs and very exposed to the world of organic products. In those counties, breast cancer has become a common thing. Every woman knows several women who either have a tumor in their breast, have had a tumor in their breast, or have died from the cancer. They seem to be just waiting in line for it to happen to them, too. Why? Now there's a craze of research, initiated and sustained in part by these rich, upper class women who want to find the answer. Researchers theorize that our cosmetics, water, food, containers, etc. are full of endocrine disruptors, most of which act as pseudo estrogen. More estrogen = hormone imbalance + wild growth of breast tissue. Vassar College has started a research project called "Environmental Risks and Breast Cancer," researching the effects of environmental chemicals on our bodies. They offer a FREE CD detailing their findings, to promote awareness and early prevention! I just wanted to share the wealth. Cuz, you know, life's too busy to care about our cosmetics and product choices -- but not when these choices mean life or death! Love you all. Visit the site and order a CD: http://erbc.vassar.edu/

| There are so many little details to pay attention to when it comes to grading exams for 200 kiddies. I realize that I suck at paying attention to detail because I keep making mistakes when I grade. I either enter in the incorrect response in the parscore machine, send the wrong spreadsheet of grades to my professor, or mistype a student's id # so they end up not having a grade. I work really hard to try to pay attention to every detail, but I feel like I keep messing up all along the way. Poopies... Ok, now I'm going to stop whining and go be productive. Love ya, d | | |
